Whether this is your first visit or a return trip, there's something for everyone in Seaside
The first thing you want to do when you arrive downtown is Park and Walk. Everything is within walking distance here: shopping, restaurants, art galleries, a variety of playful family friendly attractions and the beach!
Downtown has shops ranging from antiques,souvenirs, gifts, jewelry, galleries, apparel and more.
Our restaurants feature the best of chowders, fresh seafood and a wealth of delicious entrees. Whether it's a casual beach family meal or a fine dining atmosphere, you'll find it in downtown Seaside.
We have the Seaside Aquarium, the Seaside Museum, the Carousel Mall, the Funland Arcade, bumper cars and putt-putt golf and lots of shops featuring saltwater taffy. There's a kite shop for the breezy days and plenty of coffee for when there's a chill in the air.
For you get-out-and-do-stuff visitors, there's a surf shop, plenty of boogie boards and frisbees, and even helicopter and airplane sightseeing rides. You can rent bicycles and surreys to cruise through town or have one of our restaurants or delis make a picnic lunch for the beach.
Of course we have a beautiful big beach with a one and a half mile promenade built in 1920, running alongside the beach. It is handicapped accessible and great for people to stroll, jog, inline skate or just sit on the benches provided and enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of the ocean.
There's a lot more, but you get the idea. The Seaside Downtown Development Association, located in the Seaside Carousel Mall, is here to welcome you and help make your stay in Seaside a memorable one.
