Welcome to Downtown Seaside

Since the mid-1800s, family fun, recreation and an expansive 1.5-mile Promenade have defined Seaside.
Relax, play and discover Oregon's first coastal community.

When you turn west from Highway 101 onto Broadway, you have entered Downtown Seaside, Oregon.
The first few blocks constitute the Gilbert District named for Alexandre Gilbert, an early mayor who donated the land for the Prom.
Seaside's Downtown includes its famous Turnaround facing the beach, the Civic & Convention Center, Quatat Park on the
Necanicum River, one of the oldest aquariums in the country, a brewery, hotels, shops, and restaurants as well as a carousel to ride,
arcades, miniature golf to play, bumper cars, and paddle boats in the river.

We invite you to take full advantage of all that our bustling Downtown has to offer including a large array of unique shops,
art galleries and restaurants offering family fare, ethnic cuisine, gourmet meals, and sweet treats. And how can you forget to enjoy that treat
identified with the beach - salt water taffy?

Seaside's friendly downtown merchants welcome you and take great pride in their shops, many of which are family owned
and one-of-a-kind. Whether visiting for business or pleasure, Downtown Seaside, with events, parades, iconic lighting and
lush hanging baskets, is not to be missed. Whether you're here with your family, a friend, or by yourself,
Downtown Seaside has something for everyone!
