The Community Flower Basket Program

is a Bloomin' Success!

In 1996, The Seaside Downtown Development Association began The Community Flower Basket Program as a way to bring lasting beauty to the downtown area during the busy summer months.

In 2009, we celebrated 14 years of vibrant colors and beautiful blooms!

Through donations from local businesses and other community members, large pots of colorful flowers are purchased in the spring and hung all around downtown. Our last count was 67 baskets!

They grow quickly and in just a few weeks are huge, lush, bright spots of color for all to enjoy. The baskets are maintained by Pam Fleming, Seaside's own downtown gardener. The baskets hang all summer and into the fall, giving our visitors and residents a constant reminder of the pride we take in our community.

Without our generous sponsors, the Flower Basket Program would not be the success that it is. As a special thank-you,  each donor is listed in an ad in the Seaside Signal as well as on posters in the Downtown Information Kiosk and in our SDDA office.
